With that said… would you like to see a fab pic of my bod and a busted herp derp face or an eh pic of my bod and a self approved face?
This post was brought to you by average people problems and reasons why I should start wearing makeup foundation. Also the letter S for self-obsessed! (hahahaha! OK I’m not funny but I’m still on my first cup of coffee give me a break)
Don’t take this too seriously. LOVE my body💓 - hate photos 😉
“On July 3, Seventeen magazine’s editor in chief, Ann Shoket, announced that the publication had written up a Body Peace Treaty, signed by the whole staff, which pledged to “never change girls’ body or face shapes” and use images of “real girls and models who are healthy.”
“The American Medical Association and the National Eating Disorders Association, among other organizations, say that unrealistic images propagated by the media can trigger body image and self-esteem issues and contribute to eating disorders. Over the last year, the fashion industry has been under pressure to limit airbrushing and avoid using too-skinny models. In February, Glamour promised not put its models or featured celebs on a “digital diet” and the following month, Vogue said they would ban underweight models.”
“In response to her win, Bluhm wrote on her petition page, “Seventeen listened! They’re saying they won’t use photoshop to digitally alter their models! This is a huge victory, and I’m so unbelievably happy.” Now, she is supporting a new effort by two other young activists, Carina Cruz and Emma Stydahar, to end photo retouching at another girls magazine. Look out, Teen Vogue.”

^ This is incredible news! It also gives me hope for when I have children someday :)
the awkward moment when a picture on your dash is of a girl you used to know in high school.
and the moment afterwards, when you see over 1,000 notes of girls saying they wish they looked like her. They wish they had her body, her hair, her bikini, her tan, her life, only THEN would they be happy. When in reality she is not the nicest person and her life is actually pretty sad.
Please think before you let jealousy wash over you. Focus on yourself and become all of the things you would want to see in yourself, or that you would want to see in a friend, or a sister, or a mother. No one expects you to look perfect, it is only YOU that holds these crazy standards for yourself!
I know that the media plays a role in how we perceive beauty. However, with that said, are you seriously going to let the media have power over how you feel about yourself? Or how you see other women? I certainly don’t. Not once have I met someone and said “Eh she’s ok… but she is NO victoria’s secret model.” or “I would like this person so much more if they had perfect features and the ideal body but she has flaws.” We don’t think these things when we look at other people, so why would we think this when we look at ourselves?
Guys do NOT expect you to look perfect either. Not once have I heard a guy say, “Well she doesn’t fit my standards. She doesn’t have the right body shape and her hips don’t curve out the way they should, she doesn’t have a thigh gap or butt lines and she has 1 zit on her face. So no she is not attractive.”
It is only you that needs to change this perception of beauty. Once you work on that, you are golden.

I’m trying to decide if I want to post the pictures on my main blog. I’m torn :/
I’m really proud of the progress I have made but I’m even more excited that I’m getting closer to reaching my greatest fitness goals! :D I can’t wait to see how my body will look and feel at the end of the summer. I’m either going to post a progress picture now on my main blog and then an updated progress picture at the end of August, or just wait until the end of August to post any progress pics on my main blog…
I AM SO INDECISIVE. LOL.
Fitness Update 6/21:
The bodyrock workout I did tonight! I HIGHLY recommend trying it out!!!
The first round: I ended up doing 10 reps of each exercise and taking a 20 second break after every 2 exercises.
I did the video a 2nd time, and this time I did 15 reps of each exercise and I took a 10 second break after every exercise.
Like I said, I really recommend trying this out! I’m definitely going to do this one again next week!
Oh and I also did some sumo squats and superman pushups :D and this afternoon I ran which I posted earlier if you want to look at that.
For anon, this was taken in the beginning of May!
