Beating your own personal record feels far more significant than ever beating someone else’s
- just what I think
The “diet/fitness” articles that magazines such as Seventeen and Cosmopolitan feed to their readers. It makes me so angry! It is either inaccurate or very easily misinterpreted. Please stop trying to teach a subject in which you know very little about!

When I reached my 3 mile mark I found a shady tree to lay under and I wrote myself a note to remind myself to go running the next time I feel lost.
Running reminds me of who I am. It clears my head and organizes my thoughts. It helps me focus. It’s the best energy booster on the market (superior to any energy drink out there and gasp - even coffee!) and it gives me more happiness than chocolate or even ice cream ever will. Each time I run I am proving to myself: I am stronger than I think. Running gives me the greatest high and joy I have ever experienced. It makes me feel worthy. It teaches me self love. It helps me find peace within myself and the universe. Running destroys my weaknesses and accentuates my greatest strengths. It makes up for everything I have failed at before. It forces me believe in myself with everything I’ve got. Even when I have not won the race, I succeed. I am winning. I am forever learning and growing but I seem to have more of an understanding of who I am and who I want to be each time I run. I am a runner and nothing less than that.
The next time I’m having a bad self esteem day or I’m not feeling like myself I’m going to pull my list out and remember to go running… before I become all irrational and stressed lol!

Going to bed now but I’ll answer whatever when I wake up! :)

I had some crazy music on my morning run! Drop it like it’s hot also came on LOL but I didn’t have time to take a screenshot!
I did a quick mile (8:20) walked another and then sprints (roughly 400-500 meters) on the way back! Brandon joined me and afterwards he gave me a lot of great advice!

Guy fitspo anyone? ;) this is Brandon’s quad!
