freshman-thinkingThis year, I will be entering my 2nd year of college at a large school in New York State!

This is the place where I can let my creativity run wild and my thoughts roam free. This is my stress-free zone!

I am going to be blogging a lot about college life / dorm life / and my life in general. I also reblog photos that I find inspiring, funny, or that I just like. I think it's important to note, I am a runner. Living a healthy lifestyle is HUGE. I love posting all things positive, fitness and nutrition related!

If you have any questions for me - don't be shy! Just ask! Honestly, the best part of tumblr are the people! I love talking to each and every one of you!

So here it is everyone:

"High-dose antioxidant supplements may prevent you from reaping the benefits of exercise, according to Sports Medicine.

As you work out, your brain sends signals (“Get stronger!”) to your muscles. Taking excess antioxidants delays or stops these messages.

Skip megadoses of vitamin C, vitamin E, and coenzyme Q10. Instead, aim for a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and nuts, says study author Tina Tinkara Peternelj of the University of Queensland in Australia.”

I found this to be very interesting! I can never take antioxidant supplements because I can’t swallow big pills. Many of my guy friends, however, take handfuls of these supplements everyday. It might not be helping you reach your fitness goals after all.

You know how it takes time before the soreness hits you after a workout?

Just now, I’m starting to feel those deadlifts and squats from last night.

Plus I ran this morning because I felt ok then!

Tomorrow is going to be so painful :/

    Legs are dead today!

I woke up a few times from my legs being so sore and stiff! When I woke up the final time this morning I stretched for 20 minutes or so. I think it is partially from the leg workout I did the other night but combined with yesterday’s run (I took on A TON of hills) that did me in. I’m happy that I’m sore but ow!

On the bright side, I had an excuse to make my extremely thick and chocolate protein shake for breakfast! SO GOOD! :D

Also, have any of you put coffee in your protein shakes before? And if so, do you make the coffee in advance, refrigerate it, and then make your shake, or is there a quicker way?

    DEAD.

I did the Bodyrock ab - push it up! workout again tonight!

It’s supposed to target your abdominals - which it DEFINITELY does - but I also really feel it in my arms and shoulders which is great!

Going to sleep this off and then waking up bright and early to chase kids around all day

    Good night guys C:

Also, to the anon who asked for more personal pictures. I will try to post one tomorrow!

Lunch Part II. Sharing some shrimp with my sister! Five pieces are 19g of protein :)

    Updated my progress blog!

For those of you who follow me on there/have the password feel free to check it out! :)

I’m trying to decide if I want to post the pictures on my main blog. I’m torn :/

I’m really proud of the progress I have made but I’m even more excited that I’m getting closer to reaching my greatest fitness goals! :D I can’t wait to see how my body will look and feel at the end of the summer. I’m either going to post a progress picture now on my main blog and then an updated progress picture at the end of August, or just wait until the end of August to post any progress pics on my main blog…

    I AM SO INDECISIVE. LOL.
